Peter S. Chang, the founder and principal of the Firm has been around Real Estate all his life.  His father was a Real Estate Agent for several decades, first doing apartment rentals specializing in the Greenwich Village section of Manhattan and later concentrating on Commercial Purchase and Sale transactions.  Mr. Chang worked summers at Real Estate agencies and was able to gather experience regarding the nuances of the New  York Real Estate market.

Mr. Chang attended the State University of New York at Stony Brook where he double majored in History and Psychology.  He attended St. Johns University School of Law where he obtained his J.D.

Mr. Chang has worked at a number of notable Real Estate Law Firms in New York City and has an established reputation for efficiency and excellence, representing buyers and sellers as well as financial institutions in connection with diverse and complex commercial and residential real estate transactions.

Chang Law Firm has extensive experience representing clients in connection with the purchase and sale of commercial, multi-family properties, 1-4 family homes, cooperatives and condominiums.  Mr. Chang does a substantial volume of Cooperative Closings and is well versed in these types of transactions.

The Firm also concentrates on mortgage financing and has represented major commercial banks including Chase, Washington Mutual Bank, TD Bank as well as local regional and community banks such as Flushing Savings Bank, United Commercial Bank and Cathay Bank. Mr. Chang currently represents major lenders in connection with residential mortgage transactions as well including Citibank, HSBC, Wells Fargo Bank, Santander Bank, Popular Bank, LoanDepot, Bank of America, Citizen’s Bank and Metro City Bank.
